Bus Transfers To and From Princess Juliana Airport

Upon arrival at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, and hotel shuttle services.

As of this update, there is no public transport to and from the airport, located 12 kilometers west of the capital city of Philipsburg, St Maarten.

Taxis and rental cars are available from the airport, and numerous hotels on the island can arrange a shuttle transfer for the passengers.

Bus to Philipsburg, Marigot, Maho, and Simpson Bay

Public and private bus operators are available on the island in the Dutch and French parts of Sint Maarten but not from the airport itself.

Additionally, it is possible to travel by public transport between downtown of the Dutch part (Philipsburg) and the capital of the French part (Marigot) for several dollars on a single journey ticket.

You can only travel by minibus to Sint Maarten if you have little or no luggage.

The regular single bus ticket costs a few dollars.

Children, up to 3 years, and seniors from 65 years can enjoy free travel on the island of Sint Maarten, and children between ages 4 to 12 pay half fare.
