Ferry Services in Saint Martin

Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) is served by multiple major international airlines with daily service to and from destinations all over the world.

From SXM, passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, and hotel shuttle services.

The airport is 12 kilometers west of Philipsburg in St Maarten.

Water transportation is quite common in the Caribbean island of Saint Martin/Sint Maarten but is not available directly from the airport.

Note: St. Maarten/St. Martin is half Dutch, half French. The Princess Juliana International Airport is on the Dutch side, with Anguilla's private dock being a 1-minute drive away.

You can arrange a private transfer to bring you from the airport to the ferry terminal.

The driver will meet you at the Princess Juliana Airport (SXM) in St Maarten and transfer you to the Marigot ferry terminal.

The cost for up to two passengers is US$ 25.00 each way.

The public ferry to Anguilla (which leaves from Marigot) is on the French side of the island, a 10-minute drive away from Princess Juliana International Airport.

The two official currencies are the euro on the French side and the florin (NAF) or guilder on the Dutch side.

However, US dollars are accepted across the island and are frequently used as the currency of reference.

Credit cards are widely accepted everywhere. There are currency exchange offices and banks, and ATMs are available in the major urban areas.

The station hosts regular lines between St. Martin, Anguille, and St. Barth. It also serves cruise ships.

Passengers can buy their tickets on-site. Rate may vary.
